Safety and Security

Safety and Security

The safety and security of your children is one of our number one priorities. We want you to be able to drop off your child(ren) with full confidence to know that everything is being done to protect them from harm.

Upon arrival in the Preschool Department you will check your child in at the front desk. The friendly greeter will give your child a name tag with a number that corresponds with a yellow card that the parent receives. The parent will also receive a beeper to keep with them at all times. This beeper will be used in the event the child needs a parent for various reasons. The beeper does not have sound; it will only vibrate so it must be kept clipped to you so you can feel it vibrate.  The yellow card is to be turned into the child’s teacher and the beeper is to be turned into the greeter at the Welcome Desk in the Preschool Hallway. *Please note- to insure the children’s safety only those with yellow cards and beepers can come and pick up the child.

Health Policy

One of our goals in the Preschool Department and the Children’s Department is to provide a safe and healthy environment for your child to come and learn about Jesus. In order to help make that happen we would like to put some health guidelines into use. Please take a moment to look over the guidelines.

Health Guidelines: Please refrain from bringing a child who has the following symptoms.

  1. Fever: Child should be without fever for 48 hours.
  2. Vomiting and/ or diarrhea: Child should be without either symptom for 48 hours.
  3. Common cold: Child could be contagious from onset of cold to one week following.
  4. Sore throat: Child should be without sore throat for 24 hours.
  5. Croup
  6. Any unexplained rash: Child should be without rash for 24 hours.
  7. Any skin infections: Child should be without infection for 24 hours.
  8. Pink eye or other eye infections: Child should be without infection for 24 hours.
  9. Head Lice: Child should be without head lice for 24 hours.

Please remember that these guidelines are to protect each child and each family. For the well being of all children if an illness or infection is suspected we will kindly ask that your child not participate until your child is symptom free. Children who appear ill during a church activity will be isolated and parents will be called/ beeped.

If your child requires medication we ask that only parents administer medication. Teachers/ workers are not to give a child any medication.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation and support with these guidelines.
