MEDIA MINISTRIES MISSION AND PURPOSE

The purpose of the media ministry at Arlington Baptist Church is to reach the world with the word of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ and serve the local church through the employment of electronic medium.

Currently, to be a worldwide outreach we will:

• Produce audio tape/CD recordings of church services and other events for those who request or subscribe to them.  This will give the word of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ an additional vehicle of transfer.
• Establish an Internet Ministry that is highly visible and is an easily accessible source of teaching and outreach.
• Contact, pray for, counsel with and minister in any way needed to those people whose lives have been touched through the Media Ministry.

In the future to be a worldwide outreach we will:

• Use TV, radio and web streaming to bring the word of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ into homes and other places outside the church.  This will be a ministry to shut-ins and others who cannot or do not attend church in the traditional sense.

As part of the local church we will:

• Provide those services needed to support teaching, preaching, praise and worship, musical, dramatic and other special events so that they may be conducted in a manner to bring glory to God and reach the lost in the community.
