| We are a Great Commission Church
and believe we have the privilege and responsibility of taking
the hope and love of Christ beyond our church walls and into our
community, country and world. We participate in missions in many
ways: through prayer, financial support, missionary
partnerships, sending missionaries, and actually going to
mission endeavors around the world. Local Missions: As
members of the
Jacksonville
Baptist Association we participate in numerous ministries to
people groups in the Jacksonville area. We especially help to
support a feeding ministry operated through the association. We
also support Arlington Community Services.
Florida, North American & International Missions: As a
Southern Baptist Church participating in the Cooperative
Program, our members generously designate a portion of the
offerings and gifts given to our church to support missions and
other types of ministries throughout Florida, the United States
and around the world. Through the
Florida
Baptist Convention we help start new churches and support
their ministries and other evangelistic efforts throughout
Florida. Through the
North American
Mission Board we help to support more than 5,000
missionaries in the United States, Canada and U.S. territories.
Through the
International Mission Board we help to support more than
5,000 missionaries in other countries.
As a church, we are currently helping to finance the building
of an orphanage in Haiti.
