WELCOME TO THE ARLINGTON BAPTIST CHURCH YOUTH PAGE!  We are extremely excited about what God is doing in our church, and in our youth group in particular.  Keep looking back to this page to find updates, pictures, schedules, and events that are upcoming.

Our goal in this youth ministry is to bring people into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ, and to grow in that relationship.  Because of this, our mission statement has become:  To worship and glorify God individually and together through service and prayer.  This statement leads us in all that we do.  It leads us to worship God through our lifestyle, to bring people to Christ, to invite people to church, to do service and mission projects, and to pray as our first and last resort.

WEEKLY MEETINGS

We meet every week for Sunday School, Sunday worship, and Wednesday night youth service.  Sunday school takes place every Sunday at 9:15 a.m. in our world famous rec room.  It is a time when we split up into small groups that are separated according to what grade you are in.  Sunday morning worship takes place in the main sanctuary of the church and is a great time of worship through music and our pastor, Joe Newton presents to us the Word of God.  Finally our Wednesday night worship is an awesome time of fellowship, games, music (by our youth praise band), and a time of talking about the Word of God.  This is again held in our world famous rec room.  The rec room is where the youth spend most of our times.  We have arcade games, ping pong, a nice new pool table, a big sound system, and a comfortable place to hang out. 

MONTHLY MEETINGS

There are a few things we do monthly.  We do fellowships like an Islands of Adventure trip, paintball, bowling, or other things that come up as we go along.  Once a month we do a “GO” visitation where we go out and visit prospects and try and tell them about our love of Jesus Christ.  Also I hold a PARENT’S MEETING once per month to let parents know what’s going on in the youth group.

YEARLY EVENTS

Some of our yearly events include a week long summer camp where we get away from everything and spend a week worshipping and celebrating Jesus Christ.  We also take a week out of our year and spend it on a mission trip where we go off and spend a week helping people and spreading the Word of Christ to people outside of Jacksonville.
